Exciting News from the Bobcats Band!

We are thrilled to announce that donations for the Bobcats Band will be available soon! Our band is more than just a group of musicians — it’s a family built on passion, teamwork, and a shared love for music. Every note we play, every performance we give, and every smile we bring to our community is made possible through the incredible support of people like you.

Your generosity directly helps us grow and improve. Donations make it possible for us to purchase new instruments, uniforms, and sheet music, as well as travel to competitions and community events that showcase our hard work and dedication. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue to provide memorable performances and meaningful experiences for our students and supporters.

GENERAL QUESTION

The “Roaring Bobcat Band Booster Club” is an organization made up of parents, former students and friends of the Bobcat Band. The purpose of the organization is to assist the band students and directors. This assistance comes in the form of fundraising, chaperoning trips, sewing uniforms, preparing meals, scholarships and many other activities. Membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the” Roarin’ Band From Bobcat Land.”

Dues are $20.00 per year, T-Shirt included, and membership cards may be obtained at the first meeting of each school year or through any booster club officer.

  • Band Directors provide updates with how the band is doing and give information on any special events or needs
  • Prepare for upcoming Booster activities
  • Booster Meetings are at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of each Month at the Hallsville High School Band Hall. Meetings are also broadcast on Facebook page “Hallsville Bobcat Bands

Note:Activities denoted by ** require volunteers that have completed the VIP background checkannually.

  • Scholarships for Senior Band Members (May):
    • The booster organization provided and administered 9 scholarships to senior band members during the 2023-2024 school year.
  • Volunteer Support for Band Camps (Summer):
    • Assisted in running high school and junior high specialty camps, including flags, majorettes, and drumline.
    • Supported high school and junior high band camps.
    • Helped with All-Region and All-Area clinics hosted at Hallsville schools.
  • Assist directors with the Spring Band Banquet to honor band students (April/May)Feed the high school band after half time performances at home and away high school games(Fall)
  • Fundraise through running the concession stand at all home football games (junior high and high school level) (Fall)
  • Fundraise to support senior band members with special activities (School Year)
  • Fundraise to support major band trips (ex:Hawaii) (usually once every 4 years)
  • Chaperone band trips** (school year)
    • Football games
    • Six Flags / Splash Kingdom field trips
    • Major Band Trips
    • Contest trips (UIL, NAAMB, etc)
    • All-Region, All-Area, All-State auditions, clinics, and performances
    • Solo & Ensemble auditions and competitions
